The program uses advanced artificial intelligence techniques: Evolutionary Computation (EC) and artificial object Neural Networks (NN) so that the Non-Player Characters (NPCs) have "learned" through dynamic adaptation to play with a rating equivalent to that of a human Senior Master. Please note that this game was developed in 2002 with relatively slow computers, before Hi-Def video-cameras and before multi-megapixel cameras were available. Today -- we are spoiled!
